Lower thirds are an extra graphic or video you place on your video, usually near the bottom, for the purpose of sectioning your video to show other information. That information might be a name of someone speaking in the video, the name and/or logo of your company, or a place to offer more information about the topic of the video.
Static lower thirds are non-moving. One example of a static lower third would be a transparent PNG graphic file of your logo. Animated lower thirds are the opposite of static, they actually have thier own animation within a video. An example of an animated lower third would be a newsticker at the bottom of a news broadcast.
This site offers both static and animated lower thirds. The only requirement to use these lower thirds in your videos is to include a credit to this site at the end of the video. If you need some help in adding the lower thirds, check the tutorials page; there may be a tutorial to assist you in adding the lower third for your brand of video edtior.
